France officials have authorized Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, permission to operate a digital asset trading platform in the republic. The Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) registration has been granted by Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) with the approval of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR).
The AMF oversees and regulates the French financial markets, as well as assuring investor financial literacy. The ACPR is an independent French regulatory organization that oversees banks and insurance firms. The DASP registration will allow Binance France to operate in France with the consent and supervision of AMF and ACPR.
Binance has become the first DASP in Europe, demonstrating its dedication to being a compliance-first exchange. The notorious CEO, Changpend Zhao expressed his gratitude towards the regulatory bodies, which have demonstrated their commitment to innovation and made it possible for the corporation to navigate the entire process of application. He added that Binance has always been consumer-centric and with the recent announcement, the crypto community can gain further confidence in Binance France and its successful DASP registration.
